Lease Assignment Agreement
|
LawDepot's Lease Assignment Agreement is:
- Used when a tenant who is renting property from a landlord wants to transfer the entire interest that the tenant has in the property to a third party.
- The third party assumes the lease and all rights and obligations under the lease that the tenant had with the landlord.
- A Lease Assignment is not to be confused with a Sublease, in which the tenant transfers only some of his/her rights to a third party by leasing the property to the third party for a portion of the tenant's original lease term or only transfers a portion of the space rented in the original lease. A lease assignment transfers all of the rights that a person had under a lease to a third party for the remainder of the lease term.
