
Data Analyst - Digital Marketing

Position Overview
LawDepot is currently expanding and looking to recruit a Data Analyst - Digital Marketing in Edmonton, Alberta. This position will be responsible for managing one of the largest search engine marketing accounts in Canada and conducting in-depth data analysis with a strong focus on ad creative. Comprehensive training is provided. This is a full-time permanent position, working 37.5 hours per week with opportunities for a hybrid work schedule.
Primary Responsibilities
- Plan, implement, and manage a portfolio of search engine marketing campaigns (Google Ads, Microsoft Advertising) to boost website traffic and drive conversions
- Experiment with new ad copy, crafting compelling customer messages that convert and serve as a creative sound board for the team
- Optimize and adjust campaign bids to maximize profitability and ensure peak performance
- Analyze and interpret financial data and key performance indicators to uncover actionable campaign change tactics
- Ensure consistency in tone, messaging, and brand voice across all paid advertising efforts
- Utilize internal reports to provide data-driven insights that enhance campaign effectiveness
- Conduct in-depth competitor and query research to identify optimization initiatives
- Audit and review campaign structure details to improve efficiency and results
- Build product level knowledge to evaluate opportunities
- Review user level information and segment into audience lists for targeting purposes
- Stay updated on industry trends, ad formats, and platform-specific best practices for copywriting and creative performance
- Work with cross functional departments (Legal, Product, Development) to execute projects
Knowledge and Skill Requirements
- Post-secondary education in Business, Marketing, Finance, Management Information Systems, Accounting, Operations Management, Economics, or other Analysis related programs
- Excellent written English communication skills and the ability to write short form advertising copy
- Strong writing and editing skills, with a deep understanding of persuasive, conversion-focused ad copywriting
- Experience conducting analysis on large data sets
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to balance multiple projects
- High level of proficiency using Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, Visualizations, Formulas)
- Meticulous attention to detail and strong organization skills
- Sound judgement and data driven decision making ability
- Ability to summarize complicated analysis and make recommendations
- Knowledge of PPC / SEM advertising platforms (Google Ads, Microsoft Advertising) would be an asset
